Healthy Tips of The Week June 23rd 2009

Hello my friends! Back at you with another healthy tip post!

The next 10 healthy tips I post will help you transform your life! You can become the person you have always wanted to be! Just by following these 10 HUGE steps!

Healthy Tip #1: – Get moving! – God has designed our bodies to move! Challenge yourself throughout the day to move. Some examples of that are – (Don’t use the remote control, use your actual t.v to change the stations. Walk on lunch breaks, take stairs instead of elevators, walk around your house during commercials.) We have so many different ways to keep active! Look for them throughout your daily routine. Studies show 10,000 steps a day are beneficial for a healthy lifestyle.

Healthy Tip #2: – Cut the fat! – But not all fat! – Fat in our diet is important. We need certain type of fats to stay healthy. The good fats are Monounsaturated fats, and Polyunsaturated fats! Both fats are essential for keeping your cholesterol in normal range. You want to cut the saturated fats, and the trans fats. You should also watch your cholesterol intake. Foods with a lot of fat include (Pork, fried foods, beef, ribs, sausage). Dairy products should be eaten in low fat versions. This will help you watch your fat intake.
Make little changes such as these, and you will see a big difference in your health, and your body!

Healthy Tips of the Week! – June 16th

Healthy Tips of the Week! – June 16th

Hello my friends.

I am back with more healthy tips for you this week. Let’s get started, shall we?

#1- Too much protein?!?! – Yes! You can indeed have too much protein. Protein has calories. Calories that are not used, still store as fat. It doesn’t matter if these calories are from carbohydrates, fats, or proteins. Unused calories will result in weight gain. Some people think they can eat as much protein as they would like, and never gain any weight. That is wrong, you can still gain weight from all the unused calories.

#2 – the 10,000 step a day challenge: I find the 10,000 step a day challenge to be the best challenge they have issued to me so far! I do not have a pedometer, but I do count my steps often. 10,000 steps = 5 miles. That means that every 2,000 steps you take = 1 mile. I took this challenge.. some days I am doing it very well, and I actually go over that amount. Other days, I just don’t get that many steps in. I try to get at least 3 miles in a day. I take one day off a week, and it is my cheat day. =) I need one of them days to keep sane! haha!

Monday June 8th, 2009! Healthy Tips Of The Week

Monday June 8th, 2009! Healthy Tips Of The Week

I haven’t seen any comments about what you guys would like to learn about. So I guess I am going to go back into some random healthy tips. I am all about interaction, and I would love to hear from you.

Healthy Tip #1

You can enjoy the foods you like! Oh no, did I say you can enjoy something unhealthy!?!?!?! Yes you can, in moderation! As long as the treats are on occasion, and not everyday. Food can bring you pleasure, and pleasure can be good for your heart. =)

Healthy Tip # 2

Am I really hungry? That is a good question! You need to occasionally ask yourself this question. Sometimes us Americans can be emotional eaters. We eat when we are upset, when we are mad, sad, happy, bored, etc. Ask yourself if you are REALLY hungry! Often times I will head to my refrigerator and gaze into it, looking for something to eat, but the truth is, I am not hungry! I often find it difficult to not overeat when I am bored. This can save many people a lot of unwanted pounds. If you MUST eat, you should have something like fruit, or a vegetable, or maybe even a glass of water will do away with that emotional eating disorder.

Look for the newsletter tomorrow. I will be informing you on some new updates that are happening in my life. Thank you everyone who is making this website a hit. Please spread the word, and share the love.

God bless you!

Hello!

I would like to share with you what I am about. I am a young man who has lost 550 pounds. I am working on losing another 50 pounds. I would like to share with you what I really am about. I am not a selfish, prideful person. I am all about helping people out, and showing people the love of God. I believe Jesus has helped me out 100 percent, and has helped me lose 550 pounds. I believe my holding onto HIS love, I am capable of spreading His love to others. It is not about me. I humble myself before everyone. I am worthless without the love, without the power, without the truth of Jesus.

I have been through so much, and I could only recover through the ways, promises of Jesus. I believe them all. I believe through the support of my family, friends, and church family I have accomplished many things. I believe the main source of my success relies on the power of Jesus alone! I am so excited to see where God is going to take this story. Until then, I will sit back, and let everyone know we have a living GOD who is as active as He was in the bible! We just need to have the eyes to see Him at work, and trust (Faith) to expect Him to move in a MIGHTY WAY! Like He did through me.

Thank you for your prayers, and your feedback! I will continue to show the friend we have in Jesus, and I will continue to help other people out.

-Thank you!
Justin

Healthy Tips of The Week (June 2, 2009)

Healthy Tips of The Week (June 2, 2009)

Hello my friends,

I wanted to bring you some more healthy tips of the week. Leave some feedback.. and let me know what you want to learn about.
Healthy Tip #1 – Switching it up!: We often get into the gym, and try our best to get through out daily routine. We stay on the treadmill for an hour, or the elliptical, and we target the same muscles when we lift, or strength train. This is something that our bodies get use to overtime. We get into the same habits, and we our body just takes it as part of its daily happenings. We need to switch things up in order to see the best results. If you are on the Elliptical for an hour, try splitting that up with something else. If your on the treadmill for an hour, try the bike for 30 minutes with that. This will target some different muscles in your body, and will help you break plateaus, and will challenge you in the gym once again.

Healthy tip #2 – Motivate yourself! I am firm believer in the bible. I believe the words, and the stories are true. I would like to share a small verse, and a explantion with you. This could help you lose weight! AND MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE!

Proverbs 23:7 – For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

(This should influence us to think positive thoughts. When we dwell on the negative, we will see negative results. When we think positive, we see positive results. Just keep that in mind when you are working out, or before a workout. It will help you out. I find it amazing how God’s word gives us these little details.

Thank you guys, the NEWSLETTER will be released soon! Remember to leave some feedback, and let me know what you want to learn about.
